Where Can I Go

Search for the length of trip you actually want

A date range search shows every destination with seats in those weeks. Trip Duration keeps the ones that fit how long you can be away, then highlights the matching days when you hover a date.

  • Choose 1–31 days
  • Filter Where Can I Go
  • Matching days enlarge
  • Premium and First Class

Included with Premium and First Class. From $3.99 a month, with a 14-day free trial.

A 7–14 day trip. Hover a date and the matching days grow.

The filter

Set the length. We keep the trips that fit.

Choose how long you can go

Use the Trip Duration slider on Where Can I Go. Pick a single length, or a range such as 7 to 14 days. SeatSpy looks for an outbound and a return that sit that far apart.

Only destinations that work

A city can have seats on both sides of the trip and still not have a week-long pairing. Those results drop out, so the map and the list match the holiday you can actually take.

See the matching days

Open a destination and hover a date. The days in the other direction that sit inside your trip length enlarge, the same way they do on the live calendar.

The problem

A flexible date search still leaves you pairing the flights by hand

Where Can I Go can show every destination with reward seats in a month. It will not tell you, on its own, which of those dates make a 10-day trip.

  • An outbound in the first week and a return in the last week can look open, and still be a three-week trip.
  • Checking every combination on the airline site takes longer than the seats stay available.
  • A destination with plenty of seats can have none that fit the time you can take off.
  • Hovering a date is faster than counting days across two calendars.

Use it for

The trips where the length is the constraint

A week you can actually take

Set 7 to 10 days and keep the destinations that fit a week away. The calendar shows the outbound and the return that sit that far apart, so you are not counting by hand.

A long-haul that needs two weeks

New York, Cape Town or Singapore is a poor use of Avios on a four-day dash. Raise the duration, and Where Can I Go keeps the cities that have a proper stay.

Inspiration with a limit

If you are flexible about where you go, but not about how long you can be away, Trip Duration is the filter that makes the map useful.

Premium and First Class members can still use Club Suite search on the same results. First Class can include Companion Voucher seats as well.

The calendars

Hover a date. The matching days enlarge.

This is the Where Can I Go popup after a Trip Duration search. Hover or tap a day on one calendar. Dates in the other direction that fall between 7 and 14 days away grow, just as they do when you search.

Questions

Before you start the trial

What is Trip Duration?

A Where Can I Go option on Premium and First Class. Instead of choosing a return date range, you set how long the trip should be, from 1 to 31 days. SeatSpy only keeps destinations that have an outbound and a return that fit that length.

How does the calendar highlight work?

After you open a destination, hover a date on the outbound calendar and the matching return dates enlarge. Hover a return date and the matching outbound dates enlarge. Those dates sit between your minimum and maximum trip length, so you can see the pairings that actually fit.

What duration can I choose?

Any length from 1 to 31 days. You can set a single number, such as 10 days, or a range, such as 7 to 14 days. The default is 7 to 14 days.

Does Trip Duration work with Club Suite and Companion Voucher?

Yes. First Class members can include BA AMEX Premium Plus Companion Voucher seats, and Premium and First Class members can still turn on Show Club Suite Only. Trip Duration filters the length of the trip. The other filters decide which seats count.

Which plans include Trip Duration?

Premium and First Class both include Trip Duration on Where Can I Go. Economy, the free plan, does not. Premium includes four active alerts. First Class includes unlimited alerts, instant notifications, a second email address, SMS, and Companion Voucher availability. New subscribers can start a 14-day free trial.
